Toby Carvery

Primary one will be goin on a trip to Toby Carvery. 15 will go on Monday 10th March whilst the other 15 will go on the Tuesday. Children must return their consent forms next week to allow them to go on the trip. Please make sure they are sent in. We will learn all about healthy eating and cooking. We will update you here with pictures of our trip and stories about all the fun we have.

Our new topic is The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. We used our ICT Skills to create a lighthouse and then worked with a partner to write a story. Here are some of them

Today Primary 7 held a Burn's Supper. They very kindly invited us to take part. Here we are in our tartan clothes.

We used different colours to create our very own tartan for Katie Morag's kilt. We used wool to make her hair. Here are some of our finished pieces.

Subtraction

Here is an example of some of the hard subtraction sums we have been doing. We are getting very good at it.

Cottages on Struay

We used chalk, pens and crayons to try and draw a cottage like the ones you find on Struay! We worked very hard. We hope you like them.

Our Tractor

We had lots of fun making our tractor!

We designed our own wellies just like Katie Morag. We practiced our cutting skills when we cut them out to put them on the wall.

This week we created our own Islands just like Struay. We used the laptops all by ourselves to do this!

Granny Island always takes Katie Morag on some great adventures. We wrote some short stories about things we do with our grans. We hope you enjoy having a little look.

Primary 1 Wellie Stories

In Primary 1 we have been writing some stories about magic wellies inspired by the wellies that Katie Morag always wears on her daily adventures on her island.

In Primary 1 we have been learning about Katie Morag. We have looked at Island life and compared it to our own lives here in Paisley. We also looked at maps and were able to locate Scotland on a map of the uk. We read lots of Katie Morag books and even watched the Katie Morag programme.
